The Fix are on the hunt for a med comms agency to help them find 2 x new writers. One Mid weight and one senior!

ROLE PURPOSE

• To provide advanced writing support across a range of audiences and channels
• To oversee implementation and monitoring of the writing process
• To oversee writing resource
• To provide support for writer development

Responsibilities and what good looks like

• Provide advanced writing support
• Has in depth understanding of the therapeutic area and the brand objectives
• Creates and critiques materials to deliver a compelling story aligned to the brand objectives
• Advises on different styles of writing for different audiences and channels
• Works closely with the programme teams to deliver content on time and to budget
• Leads on client/KOL discussions
• Has sufficient disease management knowledge to engage meaningfully with clients and KOLs
• Is confident to discuss and challenge KOLs on editorial content and approach
• Managing writing processes
• Develops a consistent approach to content development for all writers
• Identifies any deviation from the writing process and provides solutions or amended approaches to the process where necessary
• Is confident to brief and feedback to freelancers
• Resource forward planning
• Regularly reviews writing capacity and recommends how to deliver to deadlines using internal and/or freelance use
• Advises on recruitment needs
• Development and support
• Provides the induction programme for new writers
• Delivers on the job mentoring for writers
• Identifies and recommends the need for external training support
• Optimise revenue and profitability
• Ensures that estimates for writing support are accurate and reconciliation reflects the work done

We are looking to expand the core of our writing team and happy to see MW CVs or those looking to move to a SMW role. MWs will at least 15 months experience and those looking to come in at SMW around 3 years I’d imagine. Worth mentioning that we don’t really get involved in publications
