Post/Production Manager
Our client is a global content creation and communications agency, working with the world's best-known brands, broadcasters, and entertainment studios.
We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-weight post/production manager to join the team in a role that can offer development and progression.
- We are looking for candidates from a similar agency side background who have ideally worked in both Post Production and Production (Post Production being the focus).
- You may be a Producer who understands Post production or vice versa.
- You must have a really great understanding of sound, editing (worked in editing suites), graphics etc and know how long projects take and who should work on them.
- This will not suit someone from a TV/Film only background, the content they create is short only, 5-8 min max and this can be for Cinema, TV, Social etc
The responsibilities for this job would include:
- Managing the internal management system and all of their jobs through post (edit/sound/graphics & vfx) and managing the post staff's time and workload
- Managing the Producers, assigning jobs/spreading the work, making sure they are fully staffed, pointing out gaps in the full time team and hiring freelancers when needed
- Making sure the entire production and post system is working and that the 2 departments are working closely together
- Managing new recruitment and post machinery repairs/replacements/servicing
Experience
- The right person MUST have a really good understanding of post, how every department works/how long jobs should take, with a basic knowledge of the hard and software.
- An understanding of production and the various stages of pre-pro (casting/locations/studio hire/prod design etc and shoots (kit & crew), so they can assist with Risk Assessments/Production Scheduling/Crew booking etc in any downtime.
- It must be a high energy, ambitious and 'take charge' person that will demand respect, hugely organised, with a fine attention to detail.
- The right person in this role could fly here and eventually become Head of Production, helping them grow as a business and then growing their own team.
- They don't have anyone in this role right now, so it's a real opportunity for an ambitious, passionate, hard-working person to get in there and get their sleeves rolled up and make it their own.
- It is a full time role at their studios in Borehamwood, near Elstree (no hybrid working). £30-35K
