Copywriter

This is a MW level Copywriter role.
Min 4 days a week in studio- Borehamwood, Herts 

The ideal candidate would have some advertising agency experience, so they understand/can come up with a big campaignable idea, but also immersed in social.

A great copywriter first and foremost that can adapt from corporate to beautiful big idea scripts.

Our client is looking for a Copywriter with a passion for ideation and creative writing, to work across an exciting mix of clients and media including TV, social, print, OOH and live. They are known for making standout creative that works and our team is passionate, hardworking and the nicest bunch of people you could ever meet!

Their clients include Audible, Honda, Netflix, Boots, Paramount Pictures, Amazon Prime, Warner Brothers, Aston Martin, Walt Disney plus many more.

They’re looking for the perfect person to enhance their Creative team. A creator of surprising and standout ideas, with a passion for social media, excellent creative and original writing skills, a self-starter and collaborator who’s ambitious and passionate about their craft and the work they create.

You will be responsible for working across several projects at any one time, so juggling skills are essential, along with a positive personality for client-facing and teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver fresh, exciting, surprising and standout ideas that work
  • Bring fresh thinking and an intimate understanding of all things social
  • Attend all internal Creative meetings with the team, working under the Executive Creative Director and Creative Design Director
  • Attend client meetings/briefings and strategy sessions, demonstrating an understanding of strategy, interrogating briefs and pushing boundaries
  • Attend brainstorming sessions, writing up pitch documents & developing scripts
  • Work across all our Social media content creation, driving this category forward with creative excellence and understanding
  • Build great, collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Work well under pressure, with the ability to organise yourself and your workload to always meet deadlines
  • Understand audiences and adapt your style to suite
  • Be passionate about your projects, following them through from beginning to end
  • Be on the constant lookout for new creative opportunities for the business
  • Eventually mentor and manage the younger members of the team
  • Be proactive, finding projects and opportunities whenever there’s a quiet moment
  • Immerse yourself in the their brand, involving yourself with all our ongoing creative development and stimuli for the internal team
SKILLS, QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE
  • They need someone highly socially savvy with a thirst for creative pursuits both in and outside of work, immersed in cultural trends and the creative world
  • 4-5 years of experience working as a creative in advertising
  • A skilled ideator, storyteller and script writer with a keen visual eye
  • Experience working within an integrated agency
  • A strong portfolio of standout, successful work
  • The ability to deliver outstanding creative across multiple channels and media
  • Talented, relentless in your pursuit of creative perfection, mad attention to detail, a constant drive to be surprising and different, the ability to keep your finger on the cultural pulse and respond accordingly, well organised with the ability to juggle, hard-working, passionate, honest, collaborative…oh, and a really nice person.
