The Role

There are currently roles available for 2 play space designers. Immediate starts are available if needed.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Selby for a Play Space Designer. The Play Space Designer will work within a team to design, cost and visualise play spaces for children. The Play Space Designer will be responsible for liaising with sales team to conceptualizing design plans, to produce creative and compelling design solutions for a wide range of clients, each with their own unique design requirements.


Main Duties
  • Create play, sport and fitness concept design schemes through to fully developed, detailed presentation material in line with specific project briefs and budgets.
  • Associated collation and formation of priced quotations to sit alongside designed output, harnessing their business specific quote system.
  • Considering the requirements of all major stakeholders in this process both internally and externally to deliver creative solutions, which meet the needs of their customers and positively promotes their products and services. Harnessing the design function as an effective sales tool.
  • Work to defined timescales per project and manage your workload alongside stakeholder objectives to deliver the highest quality of output.
  • Contribute to idea sharing and design best practice with your peers to enable the design departments continual progression and maintain industry leading standards.
  • Liaise with external and third-party providers of product and services where required, to provide designs and associated costed proposals which offer a fully holistic design and build project solution.
  • Work within and contribute to a dynamic and creative design team with a focus on maintaining a winning culture.
 Person Specification
  • Previous experience of the play industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Working knowledge and relevant experience of AutoCad, 3DS Max and the Adobe Suite.
  • Preferrable working knowledge of Corona Renderer advantageous albeit not essential.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Have willingness to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Ability to take on board constructive feedback and work collaboratively to attain the highest quality of work output.
  • Able to follow brand guidelines alongside creative and technical direction.
  • Great communicator, able to question and positively challenge the norm, with a view to seeking a ‘win-win’ solution.
