Copywriter

Are you an ambitious, go-getting middleweight copywriter? If your answer is a resounding ‘YES!’, then you could be the perfect fit to join their agency as part of the creative team. This role is based in Wallingford (between oxford and reading) 3 days a week, 2 from home. YOU MUST HAVE B2B TECH AGENCY EXPERIENCE!
 
Their copywriters are responsible for ensuring every word that leaves them is fit for purpose – whether it’s part of a whitepaper, banner, or social media campaign. You’ll apply your know-how to create copy that matches their clients’ tone of voice and excites their audiences.
 
As a strategic partner, they help their clients at every stage of the marketing process. This means you’ll be creating a wide range of content and witnessing it driving real results. They partner with some massive names, so you’ll be working with a diverse portfolio of clients at the vanguard of the tech sector – from rugged hardware to supercomputing to full-fibre broadband.

Key Responsibilities as their Copywriter:

  • Content creation
    • Writing long- and short-form content for B2B clients that informs and/or entertains, all while displaying a clear grasp of technical topics as their Copywriter
    • Championing the tone of voice of each brand (including their own) by keeping messaging consistent with existing guidelines as their Copywriter
    • Crafting engaging, persuasive copy to help them hit marketing objectives across digital, video, and print assets – everything from headlines and social media posts to technical whitepapers as their Copywriter
  • Organisation
    • Managing the demands of a fast-paced agency environment, including a varied workload with tight deadlines, while refusing to compromise on quality
    • Proofreading work to safeguard their excellent reputation for detail
    • Thinking strategically to make sure your work meets the goals of the campaign or project as their Copywriter
    • Responding to briefs from the Client Services team, Strategy team, or Creative Director as their Copywriter
What you’ll bring
  • At least 5 years of experience in an agency environment
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities
  • A knack for thinking creatively, coupled with a strategic mindset and a keen understanding of the reaction the client wants to elicit from the reader
  • The ability to see the bigger picture when creating content, including how your output aligns with wider marketing objectives, brand voice, and overall strategy.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with account managers and other creatives
  • The confidence to suggest the best content formats to achieve objectives
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Understanding of best practice for a wide range of content types
  • A eye for detail, including the ability to spot typos and grammattical errors from a mile away – did you catch those two?
  • A strong academic background including research and essay-writing skills
  • Confidence presenting work (internally and to clients)
